Hello everyone and welcome back to Tekk Watches. Today we are taking a look at what I think are the ten best movies to have won an Academy Award.
We have a lot of options from a ton of epic movies so it has not been easy to whittle them down to just ten but after much deliberation, I have done just that.
Let’s get into it!
10. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is a visual spectacle with the action to back it up. One small hobbit, one gold ring and one missing finger, Awesome.
9. Forrest Gump (1994)

Forrest Gump, a tale of a man on a bench telling strangers about the magical life he has led. Shows you never need two to play table tennis, Amazing.
8. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975)

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, takes us on a wild ride of insanity. Randle P. McMurphy answers the age-old question, would you rather be in an asylum or jail? Fantastic.
7. Midnight Cowboy (1969)

Midnight Cowboy goes to show that trying to have sex as a way to make money sounds fun but is best left to the professionals. It helped me give up on my dream, Marvellous.
6. On the Waterfront (1954)

On the Waterfront proves that it may be easy to keep your mouth shut but its not all black and white. I know I will most likely think twice before opening my mouth, Quality.
5. The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

The Silence of the Lambs is a thing of terror when you realise that the only option is a mad man in a cage. It has certainly made me consider other options when offered liver for lunch, Outstanding.
4. No Country for Old Men (2007)

No Country for Old Men gives you a lesson in finders keepers, it is probably best to not keep what you find. I certainly don’t trust anyone who flips a coin anymore, Incredible.
3. Moonlight (2016)

Moonlight sheds light on a subject that needs to be spoken about and does it with such class its hard to not feel attached to the characters. This made me have a real think about life after, Stunning.
2. The Deer Hunter

The Deer Hunter tackled an issue that no other movie really touched back then, that being the Vietnam War. It also made me thankful no one I know wants to play Russian Roulette, Epic.
1.. The Godfather (1972)
